Professional Experience

·          Joined the Institute of Science & Management as an AICTE Visiting Professor in 2003

·          Served as University Professor, Ranchi University from Jan 1985 to Jan 2002, till the date of retirement from the University service.

·          Served the Agricultural Refinance & Development Corporation (ARDC) [an erstwhile wing of RBI] as Agricultural Economist for three years from 1979-81, where completed several feasibility, monitoring & post-evaluation studies of schemes by ARDC

Research Experience

·          Published 4 books and about three dozen articles in different reputed journals

·          Guided 14 Ph.D. research scholars

·          Member of the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, Bihar Economic Association, Bihar Society of Agricultural Economics

·          Editor of AURA, a biannual journal of the Institute

·          Conducted a study on ‘Rural Unemployment in Chotanagpur’ sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research in 1978

Others

·          Chairman of a Delhi based NGO, ‘Socio Economic Research and Development Organization’ which has completed two major studies sponsored by the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India

·          Served as Course Coordinator, for three years (terms) for UGC sponsored Short Skill Development courses for teachers of Economics, sponsored by UGC, and conducted by Academic staff College, Ranchi University during 1988-89

·          Attended various Seminars and Conferences at institutions of repute. Conducted two national Seminars and two Staff Development Programs (SDP) sponsored by AICTE in the Institute campus
