Worked as VP (HR) for about 8.5 years in Hindalco Industries Ltd., Renukut, (A.V. Birla Group) - 1992-2000 |
1. Initiated HR policies based on HRD. This gradually blossomed into an HR Movement in the AV Birla Group as a whole. 2. Laid down the dynamic process of Management Development in Hindalco through Career Planning & Succession Planning. 3. Established Bi-Partite bodies in the area of safety management. 4. Through rigorous control on manpower and training maintained and enhanced productivity culture in the organisation. 5. Established Personnel & IR Dept. by inducting Professionally Qualified and Competent Young Executives. |
Coal Industry:
Worked for about 10 years in Nationalised Coal Industry at Dhanbad, Ranchi & Kolkata. Was Director (Personnel) in Central Coalfields Ltd.Ranchi (1984-90) Director (Personnel & IR) – Coal India Ltd. at Kolkata ( 1990-92) |
1. In addition to the contributions mentioned above, I was greatly instrumental in integrating the diverse work cultures inherited by the Nationalised Coal Industry from Private Sector companies. 2. Finalised along with others the Common Coal Cadre, which regulates the recruitment & promotion etc. of Coal Executives. 3. Handled Industrial Relations and Law and Order with a firm and fair hand. 4. Established and led a large Personnel Dept. in the Nationalised Coal Industry 5. Contributed significantly in Management Development Programmes and in evolving participative culture in the Coal Industry |
