ISM STUDENTS’ CLUB

 

 
 

1.      Naming the Club:
 

The club will be called ISM Students Club (BM). All bonafide students of PGDM course will be its members. The Focus of the club will be to create involve disciplined behaviour, good attitude towards others, team work and managing self.These qualities are very eesential for achieving Managerial Excellence.
 
 

2.      Objectives of the Club:
 

Ø      The student club will help an individual to groom his  overall personality and develop of the soft skills which will be of a great help not only in professional but also in personal life.The main objectives of the Clubs will be as under:
 
To make students:
        
Ø      Practice sharing responsibilities. Developing leadership quality.
Ø      Promote group/team work.
Ø      Ignite themself for greater employability.
 
 

3.      Activities of the Student Club:
 

The activities of the club shall be divided in three broad categories and be named accordingly viz. GLOBUS, SAMYAK and CASPOM. The mission, objectives and activities of these three sub-groups of the student club are detailed below
 
v     GLOBUS (Great Learning Opportunity By Ultimate Students):
 
Mission: - To groom the overall business personality of an individual by and with the help and contribution of fellow members.
 
Objective: - The club will deal with the following activities daily:
 
Deal in the following activities (Daily):
·        Individual Presentation.
·        Seminars/ Group Discussions/ Debates etc.
·        Introduction to Company Profile.
·        Presentation of Biography of an Entrepreneur.
·        Bring out News & Event Letters.
·        Recognition & Reward.
·        Allocation of Names to the Different Class Rooms.
 
 
v     SAMYAK (Skillful Activities for Management Youth to Acquire Knowledge):
 
Mission: - To create a friendly environment with other B-Schools in order to exchange knowledge and share ideas which may be a great learning experience.
 
Objective: - To improve student’s analytical, logical and interpersonal skills and also provide them with opportunity to apply their knowledge in solving problems practically faced by business organizations in real life situations.
 
Deal in following activities (Bimonthly/ Quarterly/ Annually):
·        Industrial Exposure (Guest lecturers)
·        Management Games.
·        Business Quiz.
·        Workshop (Power Point Presentation (PPT)).
·        Social Awareness Program/ Adoption of Village for Overall development.
·        Youth Festival.
 
v     CASPOM (Cultural Activity and Sports Meet Club):
 
Mission: - Organize cultural activities and arrange sports meet within the institute and with other B-School located in the city or nearby.
 
Objective: - To motivate future managers to be equally smart enough on the field and feel the same zest once they are outside the organizational frame.
 
Deal in the following activities (Quarterly or Occasionally):
·        Arranging Dancing & Singing Events.
·        Drama & Stage Show.
·        Fashion Show.
·        Painting Competition.
·        Cricket & Football Matches.
·        Chess & Carom Games.
·        Badminton.
 
 

4.      Financial or Funding Support for the Club:
 

 
Management Contribution:
*      Rs. 3000/- (Minimum) on special occasions.
Student Contribution:
*      Rs. 5-15/- per week.
*      Rs. 10-50/- (Depending on the occasions).
 
 

5.      Space in the Website:
 

The details of the club will be placed in the Institute’s website with an item student club in the Home Page. E-mail address of the club will be clubinfo@ismranchi.org for inter-club conversation.
 
 

6.      Governance of the Club:
 

There shall be one prof.-in-charge for each of the three sub-group of student club to guide them. The club leader shall prepare the detail proposal for individual activity in consultation with the club members and submit to the dean (Academics) through the respective prof.-in-charge for approval before actual practice of the event. The Director shall be available for overall guidance.
 
 

7.      Rules and Regulations of the Student Club:
 

Each and every member of the club: - (Not in specific or exceptional case)
a)     Has to maintain a proper dress code provided by the Institution.
b)     Will be equally responsible for the smooth running of the academics session.
c)      Will be accountable for any misconduct or misbehaviour during class hours or with faculty members.
d)     By taking time factor in consideration, need to be present on the occasion they are required to be.
e)      Will strictly adhere to the rules & regulations of the institute meant for the students.
f)       Will face serious consequences if found guilty of any type.
